My name is Hannah Clay.

I am the owner of Stand Strong self-defence and strength classes.

I am a qualified Self-Defence Instructor through Krav Maga Global (KMG). I have been doing Krav Maga since 2010, and since I started I have never looked back. After 7 years of learning Krav Maga, I decided to become a qualified instructor and undertook 24 days of intensive training under one of the top KMG experts in the world.   Krav Maga is a realistic self-defence system that is designed for real-life scenario; this is what makes it so effective, and the reason why I chose this system.

I am also a qualified Kettle Bell Instructor under Strong First, a world class school of strength. In my view kettle bell training offers a new dimension to strength training  and allows you to reach new places with your body, helping you improve overall health and wellbeing, alongside your strength and fitness.

Since I started training both, my life has changed dramatically.  The two systems really do complement each other, and I believe they bring so much positive change to peoples lives, which is why I have decided to bring them together in one place and create Stand Strong. I am really passionate about helping people  to feel more empowered, to feel stronger, to feel confident, and above all feel safer.

I really would like more ladies to get involved, to find their voice, find their inner strength and learn to stand strong. This is why it felt right to bring the women's only classes to Bristol, alongside the other services I offer. Both Krav Maga and Strength training have changed my life in so many ways, and I want to share this with as many  as possible across Bristol.

When I am not teaching self defence and strength classes at Stand Strong, I am coaching at Strength Lab Gym. Here you can find semi private  training, adapted to suit your needs- for more info head over to www.strengthlab.eu

My name is Sam Hinton and I am part of the instructor team at Stand Strong

I started Krav Maga in 2013 and after a few of years studying the system, in 2016 I decided to become a qualified instructor and undertook the intensive KMG instructor course. Previously my background was in traditional jiujitsu but I now train in Mauy Thai and Brazilian jiu jitsu, along side Krav Maga.

I also work in security and personal protection, and I have undertaken courses including firearms and 3rd party protection which I like to pass to students. I am passionate about teaching and helping others to grow and develop themselves . I look forward to training with you.
